The city of Salzburg – Views from five centuries

[October,13 2008 - June 28, 2009] The Salzburg Museum is holding a major exhibition of paintings, watercolours and drawings with views of Salzburg from five centuries. On the occasion of its 175th anniversary, the Salzburg Museum is holding a major exhibition of paintings, watercolours and drawings with views of Salzburg from five centuries. This spans not only an arch of art history from the Renaissance to contemporary art, but will also spotlight its  multifacetted development from the small medieval town into the city of today. The exhibits will be chosen exclusively from the Salzburg Museum's extensive painting and graphics collection, most of which are very rare or have never been shown before.
